The Piazza Delle Erbe One of the most notable sites is surrounded by palaces, statues, towers, frescos, and market stalls. It’s also just a step away from one of the most famous balconies in the world. I could sit in this location all day, drink Aperitif’s and never get bored. The Arena Built as an amphitheater dating back to the 1st century. It housed gladiatorial contests and other bloody sports for the amusement of the populous. It’s a sight to behold and worth a visit when dropping by. Bridges of Verona Situated on the river Adige which takes a loop around the old city and then continues on its way to the Adriatic Sea. The bridges of Verona link the old parts of the city to the newer parts, moving upwards into the adjacent hillsides and into the countryside’s. Spanish marble, although not as famous as its Italian cousins has been quarried for over 5,000 years. This marble adorns the Alhambra in Grenada, where construction began in 1238. In 1492 Christopher Columbus received the royal endorsement for his expedition to America from Ferdinand and Isabella in the Alhambra.
