antique grey barr random
This absolutely wonderful limestone was quarried in southern France up to 150 years ago, when the quarries were closed and built upon, light grey in color with brown undertones. It was produced in a flagstone format varying from 17”-21” wide and random lengths, we are able to reclaim these limestone as they were laid in lime mortar. The patina that this limestone has obtained by foot traffic is truly fabulous, varying slightly between each stone. There are basically two versions of this stone the first and preferred one is harder and thus comes in a nominal one inch thick. The second is slightly softer and was cut to two inches thick and has to be cut down to 1 ¼” this to be useable. Because of the increasing rarity of this stone it is becoming increasingly expensive .
