French refined limestone

An iconic French limestone, with very small fossils, used extensively in the Louvre, in Paris, and many other important buildings in Paris and New York. Normally we source the claire which is the most sort after color, but other hansome tones are abundant in the quarry. Common sizes are 16” x 16”, 16” x 24”, and 24” x 24” and slabs in many Thicknesses. This stone is especially good for carving and fireplaces.
